Geocache Description:


This geocache will celebrate its 9th anniversary on April 14, 2010.
It's now the oldest active geocache in the greater Syracuse area.

Read Bob Spafford's story about how he found the spot and sent the first visit report to The Degree Confluence Project on May 20, 2000. Here is my own DCF visit report on February 9th, 2002: 43N, 76W. An article about this geocache appeared in the Syracuse newspaper on October 3rd, 2001. I took a photo of the reporter, Mike McAndrew, along with Mike Osborn-O'Brien, Jim Kuhl, Holly Kuhl, with the original cache camera. You can see it in the photos linked below.
