Regular-sized Rubbermaid container located at the site of the water
structure that can be seen partway down the mountain from various
areas on the campus of Southern Adventist University.
This water tank was in operation after the “Aqua Dungeon” was
officially dubbed retired from the main water source for the
college. If you search a while on this tank you will find a welded
‘1954’ on the side. This tank served as the main water source until
another replacement was made…and thus the “Current Water Supply”
comes into existence in the late ‘70s early ‘80s. You will pass the
current water supply as you find the trailhead for this cache.
Parking for this cache is located at N35 02.518 W085 02.566 Follow
the trail/GPS and you shouldn’t have any problem finding this one.
When your GPS says that you are just shy of 528 feet from the
cache, the trail will make a 90 degree turn to the right…..it is at
this point that you will see a slight trail going off to the left.
Turn left here and continue to follow the trails and GPS unit right
to the Aqua Tank.
If you want to explore, the fence around the tank is open and you
can take a close look at it…however, the cache is on the outside of
the fence in case some University person wants to padlock it.
