Located at one of the highest points in Rancho Santa Margarita.
*** Do not approach this cache from the direction of Man's Best Friend. I was informed by a fellow cacher that there is a sign that prohibits you from taking that route. Please approach from the business park area. ***

This biggest challenge with locating this cache is the elevation gain of more than 200 feet. I had to stop four times up the hill to catch my breath along the route.

The view from this location is absolutely incredible! You have a 360 degree view of the entire Saddleback Valley from this vista. There are many approaches to the cache and plenty of parking no matter which way you go.

You are looking for an ammo box hidden a little way off the trail. You may want to consider pants as I got nicked all over my legs.

I found coyote scat along the trail and rattlesnakes have been spotted at the base of the hill over the years.

Original contents of this cache include:

Angels Among Us travel bug
New Zealand High Jumper travel bug
Computer keyboard vacuum
Set of metallic gel pens
Easter egg yo-yo
Strawberry Short Cake keychain
Batman toy
Disposable camera *
Log book & pen

* Please take a picture of yourself and leave the camera for the next person. Let us know when the camera is full and we will replace.

Logged my find, then on to the next. Yup it was quite a hike, but at least the ground was dry and firm. There was only one travel bug in the cache. I will move it along and leave a message to the rest of the bug owners that their bugs were not in the cache.

Well, I dropped off one TB, but I have extremely bad news. All the others are gone. There was not a single TB or Geocoin in there! I wonder where they all went?

Nice view and good workout for the legs. We kept going and got the next two beyond it.

Wow, that was a quite a hill. I told myself I wouldn't stop at all on the way up so I pushed on all the way to the top but it wasn't easy. I was so busy concentrating on breathing and moving on that it wasn't until the way down that I really realized "I went up that?"
