Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT located at the above coordinates.

You will need to wait until dark if you want to make the hunt for this one. The above coordinates will get you to the trailhead which is located within Dorabelle Campground. There are new campground hosts here so you may need to pay a day use fee of $3 or since you're here at night there may be no one at the booth. The campground is open from Spring until mid October. While closed you will have to park at the gate and walk through the campground to get to the trailhead.

Once at the trailhead you will use your flashlight to locate small reflective tacks in the trees. Follow the trail of tacks to lead you to the cache. You will need to shine your light all around at different heights to find these tacks.
There are a few tacks that are in place to help you get back so while on the hunt don't look back ... they'll lead you back to your car without making the find! Most of the path is on packed trail and dirt road but towards the end you'll be walking through softer dirt and pinecones. Be careful and most of all have fun!!

Bring with you:

A flashlight (LED works best but regular is fine) with fresh batteries

A spare set of batteries for said flashlight

A friend or friends - it's more fun if you have someone along and it's SCARY out there after dark.

This cache will not be accessible when there's snow on the ground.

UPDATE MAY 2012 They are clearing a TON of brush all along the trail to the final cache location. I will keep an eye on it and try to keep your trail "visible"
