This cache is located on Pennsylvania Avenue between the White
House and the Capitol.
This is one of my favorite memorials in Washington. It's great
to visit at any time. During the warm weather, you can come here
for a concert by the Navy Band.
Take some time to remember those who served to protect our
nation.
Facing north from Pennsylvania Avenue, you will see two walls of
bronze reliefs framing the southern hemisphere of a huge world map.
Proceed to the eastern wall. Which armed service is remembered in
the sixth panel from the left? Or you can post a picture of you and
your GPSr taken at any part of the memorial.
Email
me with the answer BEFORE you log this cache. If you do
not - your log WILL be deleted without warning. If you are posting
a picture, an email is still required!
Please NO virutal finds - if you didn't visit the memorial,
you can't log a find.

November 13 by Ospreys (759 found) Found this one in the dark but the monument had lighting. So many special memorials that we're glad we didn't miss this one. TFTH
[view this log] | November 11 by Boysrus (164 found) Had a day off and decided to visit the National Archives in DC. I've seen this location before, but it was beautiful today with all the water rushing. Also, because it was Veterans Day, there was a ceremony beginning for the veterans. They had bused in military personnel and they did the band thing and everything. Nice surprise! Thanks!!
[view this log] | November 8 by 4McElfish (178 found) We ended up in this area at night but were still able to make out the different panels. Took my pic with the panel for the Sea Bees!

| November 8 by mmacro (19 found) I am here often when making work trips. It's a nice place to sit and people watch; and it's right on the metro for a fast trip home.
[view this log] | November 7 by MScheffler (544 found) This was probably my wife and I's favorite virtual we visited today! Email sent to owner + I've got a pic to share. TFTC!!
