Geocache Description:

What a grand old town Kansas City is with the jazz, BBQ, the Royals, the Chiefs, the geocachers and of course the fountains. For generations KC has been known as the City of Fountains and has even embraced these beautiful works of art in the city’s flag.

The last few years have yielded a new tradition when the downtown area is overrun by educators from all over the US for the College Board's annual AP Reading. We in the geocaching community welcome them to share our love of the game! This year captainmath and I would like to invite you to join us for a meet and greet followed by some themed caches. The downtown area is chock full of unique fountains and statues, many of which that are sadly overlooked by the locals and unknown by the visitors. Please plan to join us at the posted coordinates from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM to get your name entered into the prize raffle, make some new friends and then head out to enjoy some caching. We hope to see you there!
