This is one of six Geocaches launched at the MGA2015 Picnic Event which was held on September 12, 2015. We decided to create a series that would be "out of this World!" So the theme of the series is the six planets of our solar system that are visible with the naked eye. The caches are placed in the order of the planets away from the sun.
Jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet in the Solar System. It is a giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of the Sun, but is two and a half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined. Jupiter is a gas giant, along with Saturn (Uranus and Neptune are ice giants). Jupiter was known to astronomers of ancient times. The Romans named it after their god Jupiter. When viewed from Earth, Jupiter can reach an apparent magnitude of −2.94, bright enough to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky after the Moon and Venus. Jupiter is primarily composed of hydrogen with a quarter of its mass being helium, although helium only comprises about a tenth of the number of molecules. It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other giant planets, Jupiter lacks a well-defined solid surface.
The cache, a small sized lock-n-lock is hidden in the typical fashion not too far from the ecotone where field transitions to brush/woods. Please be sure to re-hide the cache to keep it from accidentally being found.
