Geocache Description:

This microcache will bring you to Gvendarskal, a hilltop close to Holar in Skagafjordur.

Gvendarskal is a large ledge in the mountain above Holar. From there you will have a perfect view (depending on the weather, of course). Close to the location of this microcache is an official guestbook in a black box (location info: N 65° 44.152', W 019° 04.743') and we encourage you to make an entry there as well even though this is not the official geocache site. The recommended start coordinates for the hike are: N 65° 43.993', W 019° 06.735 with parking spaces available. It is probably a good idea to check the poster at the coordinates before you start. It is located outside the Holar school building.
