Geocache Description:

10th Birthday Tea Party

Today, Monday 3 May, it will be exactly 10 years since the first geocache was placed and you are invited to join us at Lydiard Park for a birthday party suitable for all the family. This is a dog, child and wheelchair friendly event.

Lydiard Park is a beautiful historic parkland on the western edge of Swindon. The Palladian house, restored 18th Century Walled Garden, 260 acre parkland and children’s play area offer something for everyone, even the non-cachers. There will plenty for cachers to do prior to the event with more than 70 caches within 3km of the park.

The listed co-ords are for the parking area - you'll find us on the grass just to the west.

We plan to be there from 3pm until 6pm - maybe longer if the weather is fantastic (although the park does close at dusk), but if it's raining we’ll be sheltering in the adjacent café at 3pm.

Bring your own picnic, party hats, banners, balloons - whatever you think a 10 year old would like at their birthday party. Let's show those other events what a celebration really looks like!
