Geocache Description:

Saturday, April 25, 2015, we will meet at the Crismon Road Trailhead at Usery Park (corner of Crismon and McKellips).  The area near the trailhead needs some TLC – and WE have the opportunity to lend a hand in helping to keep Usery Park beautiful!  Your time commitment is approximately an hour.

The terrain is mostly level.  Remember, it is the desert, dress accordingly.  You may want to bring your own gloves.  Trash bags will be provided.

We will meet at the trailhead – see coordinates listed above.  DR.D and T2D will meet you there at 7:30 a.m.  There will be donuts and water provided.  If you want coffee, please bring your own.  We will point you in the direction of the area that needs attention. The Event will end at 9:00 a.m.

Besides the opportunity to give back to your community, you will be given a hang-tag for Usery Park that affords you free entry into the park for the entire day.  If you have not already done the cache trails, take this opportunity to do so.  Hike any of the trails in the park, hike up to Wind Cave, bring a picnic and have lunch, come back for a romantic evening sunset and BBQ. Check out any classes that may be scheduled in the classroom at the visitor center.  Step outside the box and have a great day!

Dan Wilson, Park Superintendant, has given us permission for our CITO.  Please thank him and his staff when you get the opportunity.  Let the folks in the center know you are a geocacher and how much you appreciate the opportunity to cache in the park!

Besides letting us know “will attend’, there is no registration process.  Let’s give back to our community in a positive way that shows everyone what geocachers are all about!  Thanks for your commitment and help!
