Geocache Description:

Do your part for CITO 2015 and earn a souvenir!

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2015
Time: 9:30 am—1:30 pm
Where: Meet ON the Burke-Gilman Trail, south of the corner of 33rd Ave NE and NE Blakeley St.

Geocachers, join us for a day of fun, work and fellowship on the Burke Gilman Trail. Is there any cacher in the area who hasn't used the Burke in some way? It's a geocaching highway, incorporating everything from the easiest traditionals to the Peace Sign to Geocaching HQ and the Block Party.

We will be working with Friends of the Burke Gilman Trail at Sand Point removing invasive plants and getting the area ready for fall planting of native trees and shrubs. Friends of the BG will provide the tools, gloves and a mid morning coffee & treat break. We will supply the elbow grease! We may also have a garbage pick-up activity along the trail if we run out of supplies for trail work.

What to Bring: Clothes for the weather (rain or shine) and sturdy shoes or boots (we'll be digging). Bring a water bottle. We are working in blackberries so long pants are a good idea.

Where to Park: Parking is very tight with University Village employee parking. You will likely have to park well into the neighborhood and walk down. Better yet, bike or walk down the trail.

Your "Will attend" will help me co-ordinate with Friends of the Burke Gilman Trail so they can bring plenty of tools and supplies. Look for our Geocaching flag to check in and sign the log.
