This virtual cache will require some pre planning. It is located in one of the most remote areas of the country, Tuweep AZ.
I flew into this location with a mountain bike in the plane, and rode to the rim. Driving takes substantial planning, and think about camping a night, you will want to. I understand the road in from Fredonia, AZ is the best route to take, it is around 60 miles of dirt road. The other routes are longer and vary in their terrain. Log this cache and send me a picture of you at the coordinates published to keep it logged. If the site is too intense for you, a few steps north will be sufficient. Take with you: Lots of water, food, good spare tire, reliable truck, extra gas perhaps. There are no services in Tuweep so plan on being self-contained. You will not be disappointed... it is worth the effort.
02/24/2013 Update: It has been 11 years since I posted this cache and about 100 geocachers have logged it! I am glad I could share this beautiful location with you and look forward to pictures and stories for the next 11 years!
03/29/2024 Update: Wow! 22 Years ago now I posted this! More than 150 logs and even more awesome pictures! I think it is time for me to go back and visit this amazing location.
