Geocache Description:

3smalldogz Leavesden Country Park #1. An easily accessible Micro cache in the main North side of the Country Park.

This is our first cache. It is micro sized and hopefully an easy find. The cache is located in an area very popular with dog walkers and other park users so be careful of muggles! You will need a pen as I haven't yet managed to find one small enough to fit inside.

Leavesden Country Park is located 4.8km north of Watford, on College Road, in Abbots Langley and is part of the grounds which was originally the site of the Leavesden Asylum erected in 1868.

The park covers an area of over 27 hectares and consists of walking/biking paths, a football pitch, wildlife areas, tennis courts, a children’s play area and an outdoor gym for adults.

The park is steeped in history and was originally the site of the Leavesden Asylum, dating back to 1868 with the construction of the main administration building and hospital north of College Road (or what was then named Asylum Road) which led from Watford to Abbots Langley.
