A CITO event will be run for those participating on the Mana Island Big Day Out Event (GC5YFB1). Please see cache details for the event for how we plan to get everyone out to Mana Island and cost of the trip. Only those attending the Big Day Out Event will also be able to do the CITO event on Mana Island.
The plan is to do some activities on Mana Island to assist the local DOC ranger. This will include doing a beach clean up of plastic debris and other obvious rubbish in the area within 500m of the ranger base. There may be some other tasks we can do (identifying problem weeds, or helping at the island nursery). These activities still need to be determined with DOC staff. The CITO event will start at 2pm and conclude by 4pm, allowing time for everybody to get to the boat and return to Mana Marina (Plimmerton).
