Geocache Description:

To go to this cache you may want to park at 32* 44.354N and 114* 44.974W near the “No Trespassing” sign. Don’t drive beyond this sign but you can walk to the cache site which is BLM land. It is a 600 ft climb on a ½ mile trail. At the base of the rock quarry follow the trail up the right side of the quarry.

We have set this cache up in memory of the great times we have had with friends camped on the desert below Pilot Knob. Pilot Knob is a landmark used by pilots in this area and you will love the view from the cache site in all directions.
It is a great view of Algodonas, Mexico to the south, the farm lands around Yuma, AZ to the east, the sand dunes to the west, and the Chocolate Mountains and General Patton’s WWII training grounds to the north.

When you get to the cache site take the time to notice the small memorial plaque and some of the items attached to several of the posts.

Please bring small items to trade.
Have a good time going up and seeing the sights.

It would be nice to leave this area cleaner than we find it, so please take a litter bag up with you so you can pick up discarded plastic bottles on the way down. Thanks.
