This will be a fun, laid back day of doing some CITOing, caching, and eating lunch together at the Broad River Greenway. We will meet at the posted coordinates at 11:30am to eat lunch together at the small picnic pavilion near the river. Bring your own entree and drinks but please also bring a desert or snack item to share! We'll eat at 11:30 and then start caching and cleaning up after lunch until 5pm (there are lots of caches in the area to find!). Feel free to bring your own trash bags, although bags will be provided in case you forget yours!
The park has a variety of different trails, some of which are very easy to traverse and others which can be somewhat difficult. There are plenty of trails and caches for hikers of all ages and skills! Of course, there will also be a cache available for anyone who wants to drop by to log their visit and trade traveling items or have items available for others discover!
If you're not a resident of Cleveland County and don't have a resident sticker, there is a cost of $5.00 per car per day to use the facilities. If you're a Cleveland County resident and do not yet have your resident sticker, you can get one from a ranger by showing them an in-county ID.
