This cache is a micro "nano" located near the Bethpage Train station on Stewart Avenue.
I originally thought I would put the cache near the monument that honored Grumman and the Lunar Excursion module, but much to my surprise it is no longer there so change of plans. This of course is Bethpage's claim to fame, if you grew up in Bethpage like I did you knew someone that worked for Grumman. The LM or Lunar Module was the first spacecraft to land on the moon. During the Cold War the U.S. was in competition with the Soviet Union (which had launched the space craft Sputnik). Many thought the Soviets had launched a nuclear warhead into space. The United States under President John F. Kennedy made space exploration and the lunar landing a top national priority. Grumman began work with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). On July 20th, 1969, Apollo 11's LM, built in Bethpage, New York by the Grumman Corporation, landed on the moon.
Parking is available right in the train station's larger parking lot. If you decide to do this cache during the day you will need to use the utmost stealth as this is a very busy train station. I strongly recommend that you attempt this either under the veil of darkness or the weekends when there are much less muggles. Although the monument I was thinking about no longer stands, there is a Rotary Club memorial garden, so stop by and take a look while your there,
