Yorkshire Day 1st August 2015
So Roll up, Roll up, let's fly the Flag!
August 1st holds a special place in Yorkshire's history for, on this day in 1759, soldiers from Yorkshire regiments who had fought in the battle of Minden, in Germany, picked white roses from bushes near to the battlefields as a tribute to their fallen comrades. Since that time the white rose has become the symbol of Yorkshire and is proudly worn by Yorkshire men and women on August 1st Yorkshire Day.
So rollup, rollup on Saturday August 1st 2015 for a great day of Geocaching, chat, drink/food and more. I know in your hearts a true Yorkshire person would not want to be elsewhere in the country other than in God's Own County on this special day even if other events have "sex" and "mega" in the title, you all know....The only way is Yorkshire!
Location is again at the Reindeer Inn in, Overton, West Yorkshire -10mins. from M1 J38/39/40. The pub has real ales, good food, nice views, and is kiddy friendly (with crayons, colouring books, menagerie and kiddies playground included), We have the conservatory at the back booked 12:00 onwards till chucking out time where there is plenty of space and weather permitting access to the beer garden where doggies can join us
On the day there will be several new caches published in the area with some novel way of finding them only available to those attending the event.

Food is served between 12:00 noon and 2:30pm
Please don't all arrive expecting to eat at 2:30 as that would be a bit unfair on the staff and you may have a long wait!
If you wish to eat please post a note or email me indicating your requirements and rough time you would like to eat - I would like to give Karen the landlady some indication of demand and timings by mid next week latest
