Geocache Description:

Please help us clean up the water we all love. On sunday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am we will clean up the low water crossing area on our watercrafts or in our scuba gear. After the CITO we will party at the Oasis on Lake Travis from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. there will be a free lunch, music, and children's activities at the Oasis. You must be pre-registered the sooner the better (and I will need your t-shirt size to attend the after party)

This event will be an on and in the water clean-up, you will get wet. The clean-up will be for kayaks, canoes, and other floatation devices. There will also be a scuba diving team to clean up the underwater trash at the edges of the lake. I will have a few kayaks that can be borrowed but you must contact me through email or geocaching.com to reserve one. There will be some on the ground volunteer opportunities available also.

If you plan on participating via kayak remember they are tippy. My daughter learned the hard way, while cleaning up Lake Austin, when you lean to far over to pick up a piece of trash you can fall in. I solved this problem by using my reacher so please bring yours. Life jackets are required on the water. Keep Austin beautiful will be providing the bags and will be picking up the derbis for us. Expect to do some wading to gather up the larger or hard to reach pieces. Scuba diving to clean under the water will be headed up by jvet. It will be shore diving, all divers must bring thier own gear including tanks and weights. All diving must be preformed in teams. The water will be shallow enough to stand up in most places. Please contact jvet for additional diving information.
