Cache is sited on the bank of the river Dee (Afon Dyfrdwy),
so you could go for a nice little walk (away from the smell
).
There is a public footpath all along the river on both sides, so
you could park up by the blue bridge and it is possible to
walk to the cache from there. Take care parking.
Also take care with dogs and children by the dirty/muddy
river.
This is not an exciting cache so don't go out of your way to
do it. In fact you might find it offensive , but it was only meant to be a
joke. So if you are easily offended, give this cache
a miss.
Flyfishing on this river. The Dee is the largest of the North
Wales, rivers. It flows via Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and
on through Llandderfcl, Corwen and Llangollen before
turning northwards across the Cheshire Plains to a long
estuary downstream of Chester. This great Welsh river
holds good stocks of brown trout, too; on most stretches they
average around ten ounces, but bigger trout may give you the
occasional surprise.
Some local history from Carlos + the Birdie Crew, Richard
III crossed the river here and, if stories are to be believed,
fell in the cesspool like water with a large PLOP .
Congratulations to the bilberrythree
who were first to find this Geocache (in the dark and
rain , true cachers) on the 30/11/07
and there first ever FTF .
Commiserations to Phil (from
PhilPamAndRob fame) who was right on there heels.
