Geocache Description:

Did you every wonder where great thinkers went to think? I think this is Tom's spot.

Thomas Edison's accomplishments have spanned the Sparta Township with the mining, electric lights and machinery used in iron smelting. He is arguably one of the most important men in America's last century, especially in the area of technology and the creation of new machines to improve the comfort of humankind.

The area you are in now feature the former location of Edison's manufacturing and iron mines. Unfortunately for Tom, the discovery of bountiful high grade ore in the Midwest pulled much of the potential away from here. In the meantime though, he had lots of great locations to contemplate his next invention.

The cache is a large ammo can, well hidden amongst the terrain. The area has loose rocks so watch your step bust most of your approach is relatively tame.
