This hide will take you to a little known plot of land owned by the City of Grafton. Street side parking is not the best since this lot is located on a busy curve and has private property flanking both sides. With that being said, I would not attempt this cache from dusk to dawn. Flashlights will draw unwanted attention from the near by neighbors. I suggest parking at Lime Kiln Park and take the sidewalk to the north side of the creek. From there you can make your way to ground zero and have a seat on the bench that nature has provided. You will be looking for my version of a classic cache container. As always, bring your caching tools with, because you never know what might come in handy!
This little plot of land has a small creek that actually returns “treated” water from the facility across the street back to nature. While scouting the area last week I found this downed tree next to the creek. It looked like the perfect place to sit and listen to the trickling water, watch ducks in the river and the lowering sun in the autumn sky. It brought me back to when I was a kid; my grandparents lived a block away so my cousin and I would come here to catch frogs and play. Now 30 years later, I’m back to play again. I hope you enjoy the area and experience that “Peaceful, Easy Feeling”.
