Station 19 - Creekside Trail running through East Side San Jose's
The Penitencia Creek Park trail is a group of parks beginning up in Alum Rock Park and extending down through East San Jose. This urban park has a Senior Center, duck pond, jog and walk trails, play fields, an animal rescue center, two public schools on its borders, and, of course several Geocache sites. (On foot, it would take a half-hour of so to walk from one side of the park to the other!)
Although there are other GeoCaches in this park, the one thing that it is missing is a Cache large enough for simple trade items. This Cache is about the size of a peanut butter jar and is well hidden, even though it is in plain sight.
There are two parking lots in this park - one on Penitencia Creek Road, Near Summerdale Road, and another on Berryessa Road. One can enter the park from Piedmont Road on foot or bicycle but there is not a parking lot on this side.
