Great little cache to find after traveling down the road. Easy find but hidden well. Please hide it as well or better than the last person. I won't tell you what you're looking for to make it a little harder.
The original cache had the following Items:
- Logbook
- Geocache Letter
- 2 Pens
- Mini Road Atlas
- 2 Pkgs of Peanuts
- Letter Opener
- Puzzle
- 2(New) Hot Wheel Cars
- Keychain
- Keychain Light
- 2 Pkgs of Gum
Hope you have a nice trip.
Note from the new cache owner, Cambria Outdoors:
I adopted this cache on 08/12/2016 from one of the Central Coast's early geocachers, Just a Short Walk, who has relocated to the city of Bountiful, UT. Out of respect for the original CO and to maintain the integrity of such an old hide, I did nothing to alter the original cache page other than add this note.
JASW and his geocaching partner, Matthew O'Neill (known in GC circles as Iron Chef), are responsible for placing many old ammo can caches in some very interesting and often times beautiful locals along U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1. On August 9, 2014, Matt was tragically taken from us in a cycling accident at the early age of 33 in Santa Maria, CA.
In memory of Iron Chef and in honor of these two local pioneers of our sport, I will do my part to make sure this oldie remains active for future geocaching generations to smiley and enjoy. I will soon be giving the cache itself a facelift to bring it back to its former ammo can glory and help it earn many more well deserved favorite points.
Just think about how old this geocache is! Older than many of its young finders I presume... Enjoy y'all.
