Old Ferry Landing Traditional Cache
Blind Umpire: I am forced to archive this cache because of the difficulty of replacing the unique container so frequently. For those that may have looked for the cache, but didn't log a DNF, the cache was attached to the light pole near the gravel path.

New, super stealth 007 container placed. Remember to put things back as good or better as you found it. Now, on to the cache:
This cache is located at the site of the old Gig Harbor ferry dock. The dock is now long-gone but the pilings are still there. You can drive right up close to this cache but I think you'd enjoy walking at least a short distance so you can enjoy the breeze, sights, sounds and smells that encompass you in this area of the harbor. I got the idea for this type of hide from blueheron when he placed GCH8HT. I highly recommend you give his cache a try! When you arrive at the above coords, you will be standing near the largest of the round flower pots. The cache is within 40' of this location. It is in plain sight and visible, but disguised as something else. It is not buried in the flower pots or on the dangerous side of the railing. Some people will see it right away and others will come back several times before they find it. E-mail me if you're truly stuck and I'll give you some clues. Try your best to be discreet as this area can see many people during the day and whatever you do, please stay on the safe side of the guard rail. You'll need your own pencil/pen. The City of Gig Harbor maintains this area and is aware of the cache. Might I suggest if you're hungry to stop by the Tides Tavern, sit outside on their deck and try their Halibut and Chips along with a tall cool one? Enjoy the cache!
