Geocache Description:

Anytime that there is a CITO in Gainesville, it is "unique" and this one will be no different.

This will be our first time working at Devil's Millhopper State Park.

I'm hopeful that there will be no diapers, no buried car hoods, no tires to pull out of the deep woods, but to keep my reputation up, I had to come up with something.

So, this time? Tennis balls. Yes, you heard it right. Tennis balls. Part of the boundary of Devil's Millhopper is shared with a tennis club and it sounds like there are potentially thousands of tennis balls that have found their way in to the park over the years.

We will meet at 9:30 in the parking lot and get instructions and start working. For those interested, there is a ranger guided tour of the sink hole that will take place at 10:00. You may continue working during that time or do the tour, that choice is up to you. The event should be done by 1:00 PM, however if there is still more work to do and anyone feels compelled to stay longer, you can discuss that with the park rangers while we're working. It sounds like there is a little bit of other trash and a few invasives in the area also, so it will be a bit more than just tennis balls. But how often do you get to do a CITO that focuses on tennis balls?

The coordinates for this listing are the main gate of the park. Please enter the park and park in the main parking area. We will be meeting at the pavilion just off the parking area.
