NOTE: My preferred method of communication is through notes on the cache page in question. However, should you wish to use email - please do not select "reply". In general, a replay to the geocaching.com mail bot will not reach me. Instead, please go to your cache page and e-mail GeoCrater from the log there or email me directly at geocrater@gmail.com, referencing the cache URL, or waypoint number.

Start your search at the above cordinates at Carmen diversion dam. At this point you will see where the Mckenzie river is diverted through an underground tunnel for over 2 miles to Smith reservoir. Right below the spillway there is a small trickle that quickly disappears into what is called the Beaver marsh. The entire river isn't diverted instead it seeps underground into the porous lava rock formations and reappears again at the base of the lava flow into a gorgeous turquoise-blue pool. Later joining the diverted McKenzie at Trail Bridge reservoir. The cordinates above are where you park and start hiking. From here plug in 44 18.733, 122 01.570 and climb up the hill to the right a short distance and you will find the trail that will follow the dry Mckenzie river bed through beautiful Old growth forest to the cache. The cache is a camouflaged shoe-box size container and contains the usuall cache goodies.
