Geocache Description:


Warship island in Edogawa Ward. An original name of a place is called [mi] strange islands.
[Mi] strange islands are islands that exist on the tip of Edogawa in Edogawa Ward in Tokyo and the confluence point in new Nakagawa.

The part on an island today moves little by little toward the east in old times and the island of the nature that can be done for the first time though [mi] strange islands were free originally land in Edogawa Ward.
It seems to move little by little toward now Urayasu in the east.

The size of the island is the width 100m, and length is 700m. All surroundings of the island are enclosed by a concrete wall and the factory is accounting for 80 percent.
Additionally, there are boat license acquisition place, fishing boat moor place, and [mi] strange Shinto shrines.

The resident like slim pickings also descends, and no uninhabited island like the island only at the factory.

It is called the warship island from the appearance.

江戸川区の軍艦島。本来の地名は妙見島と言います。
妙見島というのは、東京都の江戸川区の江戸川と新中川の合流地点の先にある島の事です。

妙見島は元々江戸川区側のただの陸地だったのですが、昔、少しずつ今の島の部分が東に向かって動き初めて出来た自然の島です。
今も少しずつ、東の浦安にむかって動いているそうです。

島の大きさは横幅100m、縦は700m。島の周りはすべてコンクリート塀に囲まれ工場が８割を占めています。
そのほか、ボート免許取得所と、漁船停泊所、妙見神社があります。

工場だけの島のようなのですが、スズメの涙ほどの住民もおり、無人島ではありません。

その姿から軍艦島とも呼ばれています。
