Geocache Description:

What rhymes with orange? Nothing, at least in English!

This is one of several caches placed throughout Yorktown in conjunction with I Love My Park Day held on May 5, 2012. This was a statewide effort to improve and enhance New York's parks and historical sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. You can read more about I Love My Park Day here.

You are searching for a small Lock & Lock (type) container on the orange trail.

Larra-Three and I discovered the short orange blazed trail quite by accident. We are told that the orange trail is part of the larger loop and provides safe pedestrian access between Sylvan Glen Park and the Yorktown Taconic Trailway. The trail is on town parkland called “Deer Hollow Park”.

You could park at one of two locations, which are approximately equidistant from the cache. The Sylvan parking location is just off Stoney Street. Drive slowly when approaching, or you might drive right past! There is enough room for about a dozen cars. If you approach from this parking, you will have a grand view of GZ from atop a small rise.

The other parking possibility is at a playground on Deer Street. It has parking for perhaps 4-5 cars.
