`11 Sep 1946`	Name legally changed to James Marshall Hendrix.
`2 Feb 1958`	Mother dies, King County Hospital.
`31 May 1961`	Enlists in U.S. Army.
`13 Oct 1966`	Jimi Hendrix Experience plays their first show.
`18 Jun 1967`	Plays at Monterey Pop.
`3 May 1969`	Arrested at Toronto International Airport for possession of heroin. Released on $10,000 bond. Claimed the drugs were planted; charges later dismissed.
