Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache and because the Cache Owner has not been online since June. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

This is a cache to start out any hike up to Laie Falls and will put you on the right path/road.

This cache is located at the beginning of the road that leads up to Laie Falls.  You should get permission to hike on the trail from Hawaii Reserves Inc.(phone: 293-9201). Other caches are available on the way up to the falls, and the trail is well marked.

Take the Kamehameha Highway to Laie and turn on Naniloa Loop on the Kahuku side of Laie, and then onto Poohaili Street at a circle (not the circle in front of the Laie Temple). Park alongside the white concrete pillars at Laie Park or a little further up and start your hike continuing down Poohaili heading mauka. On your right is a large open grassy space called "Cricket Field" due to the sport, not the insect.  The road splits at this point.  If you continue straight through the gate on the dirt road you will come to the head of the Laie Falls trail after about an 5-8 minute walk.  This cache is at the beginning of this road that leads to the trail head.

The cache is a grey container and is the second cache created by Boy Scout Troop 382.  There are several Boy Scout patches for other or former scouts.
