Join local geocacher SSO JOAT at the Soldotna Middle School from 6:30 - 8:00pm on Monday, March 16th for a fast-paced presentation on Geocaching. We'll be covering many aspects of Geocaching during a presentation that is perfect for both new and experienced geocachers alike.
This class is being sponsored by the Soldotna Community Schools program and is published in the Winter 2015 program here under the section on Hobbies. There is no charge for the class, but please pre-register for the class through the SCS Program so they know how many people will be attending. Also, for those who already have a Geocaching.com username, please post a "Will Attend" log to this event cache listing.

Everything you need to know to get started in Geocaching or expand your Geocaching horizons. We'll quickly cover the basics from "What is Geocaching?" to techniques for searching for geocaches. Then we will explore the use of trackable "Travel Bugs" and how to find and move these little treasures from all over the world in between Geocaches. This class is appropriate for school-age children and up. All geocacher experience levels will get something out of this. This will also be a formal Event Cache so you will be able to log your attendance on your Geocaching.com account to get credit for the find afterwards. Bring your GPS if you have one.
