This is the third and final cache in the series of Gladdagh
–caches: the first one is at Enonkoski and the second one in
the other part of Lappeenranta –city. If You know the Irish
story about the “mystery Gladdagh ring”, You can find
this cache quit easily – even without GPS! Anyway, the
coordinates help You to find the target.The cache is hidden in a
very beautifull, small village called Nuijamaa. Nowadays, Nuijamaa
is a part of Lappeenranta and is a well known frontier crossing
point. Thousands of people cross the border everyday. Next to the
official crossing point is a very beautifull center of the village
with many interesting attractions: the “old” church,
“Pitäjä –museum”, a massive boulder and
other smaller monuments. In case that the “Pitäjä
–museum” is closed, there are good tourist map guides
to tell the interesting history of Nuijamaa.The cache itself is a
small plactic container: a log, pencil,sharpener and some other
items.

Gladdagh –sarjassa: ensimmäinen kätkö
sijaitsee Enonkoskella ja toinen Lappeenrannan kaupungissa. Jos
tunnet irlantilaisen tarinan mystisestä Gladdaghista, on
sinulla mahdollisuus löytää tämä
kätkö melko helposti – jopa ilman navigaattoria
(GPS). Joka tapauksessa annetut koordinaatit helpottava kohteen
paikantamisessa.Kätkö on piilotettu hyvin kauniiseen,
pieneen Nuijamaan taajamaan. Nykyään Nuijamaa on osa
Lappeenrantaa ja on tunnettu erityisesti sen vilkkaasta
raja-asemasta. Tuhannet henkilöt ylittävät rajan
täällä päivittäin. Rajanylikulkupaikan
vieressä sijaitsee Nuijamaan kaunis keskus hienoine
nähtävyyksineen: vanha kirkkorakennus,
Pitäjämuseo, suuri siirtolohkare ja monia muita
pienempiä muistomerkkejä. Mikäli museo sattuu
olemaan suljettu, ei syytä huoleen, sillä paikalla on
hyvä opastaulut ja kyltit, jotka selvittävät
paikallista historiaa.Kätkö itsessään on
pienehkö muovinen kapseli, joka pitää
sisällään kynän, teroittimen, lokivihkon ja
joitakin muita esineitä.
