This cache is near the middle of the Topanga Ridge Trail, two thirds of a mile from the bottom.
The Topanga Ridge Trail is a beautiful but rocky and often steep ridgeline trail that climbs through the amazing sandstone formations just east of Stunt Road in Calabasas. Although not very long, only strong hikers should attempt this trail!

To get to the trail, park on Stunt Road in Calabasas where Calabasas Peak Motorway meets it (N34° 5.712', W118° 38.957'). Hike up Calabasas Peak Motorway 0.6 miles to Red Rock Road. The trail heads uphill to the south-east from here. Or you can park at Red Rock Park (fee area) at the end of the pavement on Red Rock Road, roughly N34° 6.311', W118° 38.243', and hike the 1.1 miles to Calabasas Peak Mtwy. Or, from the top, park at the overlook at the intersection of Stunt Road and Saddle Peak Road, N34° 4.88', W118° 38.711', then hike north-east on the Topanga Ridge Motorway.

Waypoints for these parking spots are listed in "Bite the Bullet" (GC1M0JA) (visit link)

The cache is a camo'd bison tube to the east of the trail.

So, I was going to give up due to fading light, a last look down the rock face to the left and I saw something familiar in the small arroyo 30+ feet off the mark mostly covered in dirt. Clearly it was washed out of the hide or ... With no recent entries( the last 6/7/09) replaced it where I thought you might hide it ??? in a cleft in the rock wall nice and snug. I am kinda new, if this a breach etiquette I will go back up and pitch it down where I found it. Otherwise thanks for the fun search.

LOOKED EVERYWHERE!!!

Did see a little hole (similar to Bite the bullet) - but nothing in it. Just a great day for a hike in the area.

I didn't even see where it would have been... But I did see my first snake of the year at the coords... A beautiful California Whipsnake. Bummer about the cache, tho, as I don't know that I'll make it back to this location. Too rough on my knees.

Looked high and low in little and big holes but saw nothing. If it was higher up out of reach, I wasn't going to get it anyway. :(
