Geocache Description:

The fifth of a trail of ten caches around this interesting area.
See Miners' Trail 10 -The Final (GC1D7AE) for instruction.
The coordinates above are false - the real coordinates can be found in Miners' Trail 4 (GC1D75Y).

This dam held back the beck to provide rushes of water to the washing floor downstream. Along the top runs the Duke's New Road - the duke being the Duke of Devonshire who owned all this land - providing access to the upper working levels.

This cache contains the coordinates for Miners' Trail 6 - The Smelt Mill and the fourth part of the coordinates for Miners' Trail 10 - the Final.
