This cache is in the Sewickley Heights Park. It is a small ammo box. It is about a 4 mile round trip walk to the cache from the main parking area, depending on the route/trail that you choose to walk.
My dog, Harper, likes the area around this cache. When there are leaves or snow on the ground, he treats this spot like a skateboarding halfpipe, sliding up and down the hills. The nearby creek is a favorite with dog walkers and people riding horses.
Please be aware that this entire park is "off leash" for dogs. There are also many people who ride horses in this park.
Also, this park closes at 8 p.m. in the summer and 6 p.m. in the winter. The gate at the entrance of the park will be locked at closing time.
