TECGeoJim: I received the following e-mail:
"This is Officer Phillippe #136 from Bloomington Police Department. One of your geocaching container was located by one of our Fire Chiefs after seeing what he thought was suspicious activity when a gamer was observed finding it. I have it if you want it back. you can call me at 952 563-4900. Tks. L. Phillippe."
I called and talked to Officer Phillippe. He knew about geocaching and was very positive. He did suggest that I archive this cache because he was sure that they would get more calls about it.
Note: The container was an empty M&M's tube covered with camo tape. It was hanging in a tree and apparently the wire used to hang it looked like a fuse to the fire chief.
I am archiving the cache to prevent any possible problems.
