Geocache Description:

Miss your chance to acquire the Geocaching Socializer Souvenir in August 2014? Well, this might be the next best thing. This cache is the promised ‘souvenir’ from our Athens ‘Socializer Souvenir’ Event.

NOTE: Only search for this cache during daylight hours!

As evidenced by the signatures on the bottom of the lid, about thirty local cachers have already ‘found’ this container. It was on display during our Athens ‘Socializer Souvenir’ Event (GC5AWJG) on August 28, 2014 and attendees filled this cache to the brim with awesome swag.

Finding this one should not be too difficult, but definitely be sure to replace it out of sight from muggles. If there are any problems with the hide, please let us know so we can perform maintenance as soon as possible.

This cache is located at the city-operated Lyndon House Arts Center and the attached Ware-Lyndon House. The Ware-Lyndon House (circa 1840) is a Late Greek Revival dwelling that stands as the last remaining structure of the old Lickskillet neighborhood of Athens. Historians have worked to restore the inside of the house and it now has many historic artifacts on display. The contemporary Lyndon House Arts Center was completed in 1999 after local voters approved a provision to expand the building.

Permission for this hide has been given by the director and all staff should be aware of its placement. However, she did ask that we only look for this one during daylight hours--please no night caching! The art galleries and the historic Ware-Lyndon House are free to visitors during operating hours.

Happy Caching!

Congratulations to *Aphelion* for FTF!
