One of three family friendly caches placed at and with the permission of the Arboretum. If you seek all three, you will complete a four mile hike. Set a waypoint at the parking lot and you won't have to retrace your steps to return to your car. You can stay on established trails for all but the last few hundred feet before each cache. However, off-trail hiking IS PERMITTED in all areas except the gardens. There are two bridges across Wolf Creek. DO NOT FORD THE CREEK! Pick up a map at the Visitors Center if you want and be sure to stop by when you're done and tell the staff how much fun you had.
I have placed three caches in this park. However, there are others in the Arboretum you don't want to miss. The Arboretum keeps shorter hours in the winter. Picnic tables, water, and bathrooms are all available.

When placed, the caches contained gold doubloons, fabulous jewels, assorted pearls, and trash bags.
