THE BAYSIDE BASH by "THENANKS", "MadMyers" and "HappyHarries" and many other Bayside cachers who are helping out too!
The Bayside Bash will be held on Sunday the 29th of October, 2006. This will be a hands on, all in, fun day for all available cachers. The venue is a large community park in Capalaba which many of you will have already visited through your cache hunts! It boasts many facilities including picnic tables, shelters, toilets, parking, playground equipment, bike paths, a creek and a few resident caches!
There will be a variety of events for those wishing to get active, and plenty of entertaining viewing for those wishing to take it a bit easy and simply watch the carnival unfold.
All participating teams will need a GPS, an orienteering compass (we'll have a few spares) and hopefully a sense of fun and adventure.
Park at the given coordinates and make your way to the well marked "Bayside Bash" meeting spot. We plan to get under way by 10:00 a.m. so arrival at the site by 9 or 9:30 a.m would be beneficial for setting up and socialising.
Most events will be based around teams of 4 and these teams can easily be constructed on the day. Children are most welcome and we imagine that they will be fully involved in the activities too.
We will break for lunch in the middle of the day. Please bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park. There are BBQ facilities available also.
The event should be finished by mid afternoon giving people time to check out some of the other local caches should they wish.
