I have been torn on naming this cache series:
“Plagiarism is the greatest form of flattery.”
“Ice Cream Social Puzzle Series 2011-2012”
“A 12 step program that serves free ice cream”

Some may have seen a cache or two by a person named Kablooey. Kablooey has been making monthly caches for a couple of years now, and in doing so, he creates a yearly puzzle challenge that, in the past at least, ended up in an event style banquet for all who have solved the puzzles. One of Olivia‘s goals this year is to attend the banquet. If you want to read more, or jump in on the puzzles because you have not heard about them before, you can visit this link:
Kablooey

Last months puzzle (July’s) was particularly hard on Olivia and I. When we finally certified it, we were so happy that we went out for ice cream, and while we were eating, I came up with an idea. What if we were to have an ice cream social? What if I did something like Kablooey? But I would have mine mid-year, that way, people who came could talk about progress, ask for help (The social will be on or after the 15th of the month), and most of all, we can all take a rest for a bit, relax our brain, and prepare ourselves for the next month’s puzzle.

However, this is my disclaimer. My puzzles are not as good as Kablooeys. He is a master. My puzzles, in my mind, are not as hard as Kablooeys. I am not as methodical as Kablooey in putting out the cache exactly on the same day of every month (Though I am going to try to put them out on the 15th of each month….yeah, I know I am late on this one). This series is not an ode to Kablooey, though his name shows up at least seven times by now. I do not create spread sheets like Kablooey, or keep methodical information about finders like Kablooey. What he does is above and beyond what I can accomplish.

So, here is my plan: I am going to put out 11 caches, all in different cities, all around the 15th of each month and each will have a Certitude attached to them. Your job, if you choose to do so, is to solve the 11 caches, and find the caches. There is no point scoring here. You may ask each other for help at anytime, but I do ask that if you ask someone for help, tell them what you tried, it is sad when just the coords are given out to people who have not tried. When you make the find, you MIGHT want to take note of the cache container, or anything written inside of the lid, or the hide type, or any painfully obvious letters or numbers within 10 feet of the cache. The 12th months’ puzzle will be the event in which WE WILL BUY YOU TO ICE CREAM!

That is right. Olivia and I would like to treat you out to summertime ice cream! So, solve the puzzles, make the finds, figure out the final, and come out for a summertime event with free ice cream!
