Plus ça change... (read listing before logging) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

SquamLoon: It's about time I clean up my business. I got involved in other hobbies and have been a poor cache owner in the meantime. This cache had a good run for as long as the rules allowed me to have rules. Then it lost its mystique. Then it lost its payphone. Hope someone creative takes this spot!

Geocache Description:

CURRENT MISSION
(should you choose to accept it)
:

Dress up as the Disney character, Goofy, and have your photo taken while kayaking in a river or lake. You must be "safe" on this mission so be sure that you are wearing a PFD, a hat, sunglasses and have your GPS in hand.
(See log for details.)

This cache was a blatant copy of the cache formerly known as Wayland 11.0—You want me to do WHAT?!? (and now called Wayland 11.0—You suggest I do WHAT optional task?!?) by CacheNCarryMA. And I thank him for giving a nod to the duplication.

I very much enjoyed doing Wayland 11.0, and still keep a watch on it just for fun. So I thought we needed our own version here in the Lakes Region.

The container itself is an easy magnetic nano. Stealth is pretty much a necessity in this spot, so I suggest you search with the receiver to your ear. Seriously. You won't have to put it down to find it. If the phone should ring on your approach, be sure to say, "Allo, Géocache!" in your best French accent.

TO LOG THIS CACHE IN THE MANNER ORIGINALLY INTENDED, I REALLY HOPE YOU CHOOSE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Sign and date the NANO LOG.
  • Complete the CURRENT MISSION above.
  • Post proof of your having completed the mission, along with instructions for a unique NEW MISSION for the next geocacher to complete.
Due to the new rules against Additional Logging Requirements, you may post a find on this cache without performing and assigning a mission. I don't know why you would, but you may.

So anyway, if you assign an optional mission to the next finder, I suggest you make it something easily verifiable in a "Found it" log. Please minimize the number of log entries by posting the details of your mission accomplished and the newly created mission instructions in the same log.

Suggested new optional missions (thanks again to CacheNCarryMA [why re-invent the wheel?]): post a photo of yourself with a Wal-Mart greeter; post your find in limerick form; post a photo of yourself with your geocaching nickname written on your forehead, post your find written in a foreign language, post an account of your most embarrassing moment. You get the idea—have fun with it! (Task should not require extensive travel.)

My intentions were that each finder complete a unique mission. If more than one finder posted the same completed mission, the later posts would be deleted. But I can't do that anymore. So just as a good faith effort, double-check the latest find before you post yours. Exceptions were to be made for group finds, provided the team of finders completed the mission together (for example, all the cachers are together in the same photo with a Wal-Mart greeter).

New mission instructions that are deemed unreasonable or inappropriate are subject to modification by the cache owner. (That was the small print.)
