This is a magnetic micro which should be easy to find, but please be careful to use stealth and not let anyone see what you are doing.  Difficulty rating is based on its high traffic location.  It's a one-star if no one is around.  Remember to bring your own pen or pencil to sign the log.  Please return the cache exactly as you found it (opening down), but make sure it is well hidden.

Wiggins Park and Marina opened in 1994 on the Camden Waterfront, where the old Pennsylvania Railroad Ferry was once located.  It's origins go back to 1975 when the land was purchased by the city as part of the Green Acres program.  Today it is run by the Camden County Parks Department.

The park is named after Dr. Ulysses Simpson Wiggins, a prominent doctor in Camden.  Dr. Wiggins was born on a farm near Andersonville, GA, on November 7, 1895.  He was a 1914 graduate of the Americus Institute in Georgia, and a 1918 graduate of Lincoln University.  In 1928 Dr. Wiggins moved to Camden where he set up a general medical practice and was affiliated with Cooper Hospital.  In 1949 he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) where he worked to desegregate the public school system.  In 1954, Dr. Wiggins ran unsuccessfully for a seat on Camden’s City Commission, the first African-American candidate to campaign for that office.  He died in 1966.

Today, Wiggins Park features the free summer Sunset Jazz Series at the Riverstage with a large natural grass amphitheater, is the scene of various public events, and is an excellent place to view the Penns Landing fireworks.  It's a pleasant place to relax and watch the ships go by on the Delaware River, or to admire the Philadelphia skyline.  When Jimmy Buffet comes to the Tweeter Center, the marina area takes on a beach party atmosphere.  During other concerts the atmosphere has a different smell.  The Wiggins Marina has 50 slips and is home port for the Camden Fire Department fire boat.  The Adventure Aquarium and Camden Children's Garden are adjacent to the park on the north side, while the Tweeter Center and Battleship New Jersey border it on the south.

The brick-lined Camden Waterfront Promenade passes along the park's river edge as it stretches 1.3 miles from the Battleship New Jersey to the Campbell's Riversharks stadium.

There are two stops on the Riverline Light Rail within a short walking distance of the cache (the Aquarium stop and the Tweeter Center/end-of-the-line stop).  There is plenty of parking nearby, but there is a fee to park, and when major events or concerts are being held, it may be very difficult to find parking anywhere and the rates typically double in price.  There is usually free parking at other times at the foot of Cooper Street, and you can walk along the Promenade from here and hit some other caches while you are at it.

Check the various venues to see what the crowd conditions might be.  Sold-out concerts at the Tweeter Center will make this area a zoo, and avoid this cache when the Sunset Jazz concerts are being held.  The area is lit at night and well patrolled by Camden City and County police and state troopers, with a police substation across the street.
