A micro cache in an interesting area.
This geocache should take about an hour to complete. There is a small café serving cold drinks until 6pm. At the café (for a small fee) there is also a small itinerary of extra sights to look out for.

Il vous faudra une heure à peu près pour faire cette géocache. Il y a un tout petit café qui offre jusqu’à 18 heures la possibilité des boissons fraîches. Ici, à ce petit café pour un petit prix (!), on peut acheter un itinéraire/plan pour chercher certains objets perdus.
The Malpasset dam was constructed in 1954 to alleviate the water shortage problems for the Cote d’Azur during the summer months. However, on the 2nd December 1959 the torrential rain of the previous weeks caused the dam wall to weaken sufficiently for the arch to collapse and a180ft (55m) wave to sweep through the valley carrying with it huge chunks of concrete and discarding them like pebbles along the now swollen river. During this catastrophe over 400 hundred people were killed in the town of Frejus.

Construit en 1954, le Barrage de Malpasset allait censément soulager le problème au Midi du manque estival d’eau. Pourtant, le Barrage s’est démonté à cause de la pluie de plusieurs semaines. Un onde de 55m d’hauteur d’eau a passé le long du val, et de grands morceaux de pierre et béton y ont été portés et posés comme s’ils n’ont été que des cailloux, la rivière bien gonflée !
Directions
From Frejus follow the signs for the A8, using the D37. At the final roundabout take the first right and then turn immediately left at the sign ‘Barrage de Malpasset’. Park under the motorway bridge where there is plenty of shade. You will need a pencil.
Comment y arriver
En sortant de Fréjus sur la D37, suivre le balsinage pour l’A8. Au rond-point dernier avant l’A8, prendre la première droite et tout de suite la gauche indiquante “Barrage de Malpasset”. Il est bien conseillé de laisser la voiture sous le pont de l’autoroute pour bénéficier de l’ombrage! On aura besoin d'une crayon.
