Geocache Description:

The posted Coordinates are under the effect of the Imperiofidelius Charm, read on to find out how to find 12 Grimmauld Place.

Unplottable and hidden by means of a Fidelius Charm, between two grubby Muggle houses, is No. 12 Grimmauld Place. It was at one time the ancestral home of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. It is now a dilapidated ruin with none of its previous glory now evident. Since the mistress of the house, Mrs. Black, died weird magical stuff has been breeding in it. Her oldest son, Sirius, was the last Black to own the place.

Before his death Sirius gave the house to the Order of the Phoenix to use as a headquarters. The Order’s leader, Dumbledore, put a Fidelius Charm on the house and was its "Secret Keeper". The Fidelius Charm is an intricate and robust charm that hides a person or place totally, the location known only to those designated by the "Secret Keeper." After the betrayal of the House-Elf Kreache, more security was needed. This is because as well as being their headquarters, No 12 Grimmauld Place is also the hiding place of the Order's greatest weapon in its fight against the Dark Lord Voldemort.

To do this Dumbledore put an extra Imperiofidelius charm on the house. This charm was sealed not in a “Secret Keeper” but in two secret items hidden under the nose of both Muggles and Wizards alike. Without both of these items even the ‘Secret Keeper’ could no longer enter 12 Grimmauld Place.

The first item is ‘ The Ring of the Order’. It embodies the very fundamental nature of death and rebirth. It, like Harry Potter, was raised from the ashes of Godric's Hollow and kept safe by Dumbledore against the greatest need.

The second item is ‘ The Essence of Mystery’ an object imbued with the magical essence of the greatest power ever known. A power not fully understood by even the greatest wizards and of which Voldemort remains completely ignorant.

The Imperiofidelius Charm has hidden the decimal part of the posted coordinates, to remove the charm you will also need these magical runes.
