A jolly fine group of geocachers is coming to Huntspatch to
experience the Jolly Green Wonders of the World. The purpose of
this event is to give cachers from all points to meet and share
tales after experiencing these unusual geo-wonders. Oh, and refill
the fuel tanks after all that walking would be another fine reason
to meet here. Come ready to enjoy the fine Mexican Food at Casa
Blanca. A group is meeting in Birmingham to make their way up here.
Watch this cache listing if you would like to join that trek, as
I'll post details on when our hearty hike in the the unusual world
that awaits us.
Hike time: Unknown
Dinner: 4pm at Casa Blanca at posted coordinates.

November 8 by oldboyhiker (5191 found) Wow! I was really impressed.. Cacheburns, Brina & Gray Bat did a wonderful jub in chauferring us out of towners along the trails of the Certain Tract today. That Jolly Green guy has got a problem though.. He keeps losing all his stuff!!! Well its nice to know someone has a bigger problem about that than me. I enjoyed meeting several of the Huntville cachers for the first time... all I had recognised their names from caches or cachelogs. Funny, I feel I've got some good freinds in Huntsville now as well as in Central Alabama. Glad we all got to talk some after the event, but the truth was Jamie wore me out on the trail... Heck I am an "old" man you know? Thanks for the "present" too from the big 5000 crew. Yeah, I'll take care of it well so the next guy can partake as well (evil grin). What a nice "trophy"! I had a great ime & thanks to all the hike & event hosts & planners. It was a hoot. obh.

[view this log] | November 8 by CacheBurns (5347 found) Thanks to everyone who made this a great event. I believe a good time was had by all, including myself. It seems that everyone survived the Jolly Green Death March alright. I enjoyed meeting so many new folks to me. It's always good to see old friends again too. I learned a lot of things this weekend. First, I don't believe that Stephanie is so abused and left behind as she leads people to believe. I think OBH has an addiction problem.... just another, just another..... CacheBurns believes that everything is downhill.... Briana Bat wears camo to sneak up and scare innocent hikers. And well, the list goes on. Thanks for all the organization from the Bham group, which made hosting this a no effort event! Thanks to the bats for coming along to share the fun, history and making of the Jolly Green Series. I suspect the History channel will be in town any day to make their next special. Lastly, congrats to OBH for hitting the "depend"able milestone. May you wear your gift in good health for many fine finds.
