19th of September 1991 Erika and Helmut Simon found the man in the ice.

The man in the ice – called „Oetzi“ - becomes very famous.
It´s the most important archeological found since years.



This cache lead you to a point witch remember to the great archeological found.
The real place, where Oetzi was found is at N 46.46.762; E 010.50.420.

But please – it’s a archeological place, don´t disturb anything.
Please don´t take anything away.

The cache is at N 46.46.730, E 010.50.391 at about 3.200m, under stones.

Am 19.09.1991 fand das Ehepaar Erika und Helmut Simon den berühmten
Mann im Eis – im Volksmund “Oetzi” genannt ist eine im Gletschereis trocken
mumifizierte Leiche eines 43-53-jährigen Mannes.
Es handelt sich um den größten prähistorischen Fund seit Jahrzehnten.



Oetzi ist ca. 5300 Jahre alt. Seit 1998 befindet sich die Mumie und die Beifunde
im archäologischen Museum in Bozen.
