The NINE challenge is Officially OVER!! Thank you to all who entered! I got 24 people to try the Challenge. 5 got 9 of 9 correct; 8 got 8 of 9 correct; 5 got 7 of 9 correct; 4 got 6 of 9 correct & 1 got 5 of 9 correct. No one got less than 5. There were some toughies & some easy questions. One question was not even a question. One question you had to be careful with the wording of and one, while it has a correct answer could be open to interpretation so I think I will enter everyone who played into that drawing. All answers will be presented at the event along with everyone's answer to question # 2.

The PRIZE PACKETS have been assembled and even I don't know what is in which one! LOL!!! I guess we will all have to wait to see what gets won.

The number nine - 9 - holds significant meaning, both mundane and mystical in our society as well as in many cultures around the world. In traditional Chinese culture, the number nine has great significance. For example, the ninth day of the ninth month has long been a very important festival in China. This festival is known as the Double Yang Festival, which was a time for wine and poetry inspired by the beautiful autumn scenery. In the past, Chinese scholars would climb nearby mountains and look into the distance and think of their faraway friends. I actually considered naming this event "The Double Yang Ice Cream Social" but figured you wouldn't have any idea what I was talking about. LOL!

In Numerology Nine is composed of the all-powerful 3x3; 9 is the Number of the Moon; 999 - Symbolizes the three levels of the triune; 9 to the 9th power is 387,420,489, which is sure to have some important meaning. Breaking that down, 3 + 8 + 7 = 18 = 9; 4 + 2 + 0 = 6; 4 + 8 + 9 = 21 = 3; and ultimately 9 + 6 + 3 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9.

• Egyptian mythology nine represents The Ennead.
• Hebrew: Nine is pure intelligence ( eight was perfect intellingence ). Also represents truth, since it reproduces itself when multiplied.
• Kabbalism nine symbolizes foundation.
• Hindu: Nine is the number of Agni, fire. The square of the nine forms the mandala of eighty-one squares and leads to, and encloses the Universe.
• Mayan: There are nine underworlds each ruled by a God. We find this reference to "nine underworlds" present in many cultures and beliefs.
• Pythagorean: The nine is the limit of all numbers, all others existing and coming from the same. ie: 0 to 9 is all one needs to make up an infinite amount of numbers
