The Blue River Run is one of the most scenic drives in south Kansas
City.
Unfortunately, the scenery is being overrun by litter.
We will focus on cleaning up the section of the Blue River Run
between 87th Street and Turner Golf Course. Come help beautify the
Blue River Run.
We will meet at 10:00 AM at the posted coordinates. Coordinates of
the additional eight parking areas along the Blue River Run within
the scope of this project will be distributed. We will then split
up to head toward these areas on the run to make a dent in the
litter that has collected here.
This is a BYOB CITO (you bring an empty bag and take away
a full bag), so bring a trash bag or two and fill it with
litter. Of course, if you forget your bag, don't worry, we will
have extras on hand.
You may also wish to bring extra water, gloves, litter
sticks,
reacher grabbers, glass scoopers, bug/insect repellent, hats,
orange colored vests, lawn chairs and anything else you think
might
benefit you.
As there are no doors out here, there will be no door prize,
however, there will be a CITO prize(s) at this event.
