This is a companion site to the Dewey Bald Cache. It is located
down the other trail from the upper Henning Park Trail Head. It
"sort of" replaces the Glade Cache that used to be there. It is not
as far down the trail, and it is further off the trail. Actually,
it can be reached easily from two differenct trails - use the GPS!

“Cedar glades and balds are things common to our Ozark Mountains.
Paul & Ruth Henning (creator of the sitcom The Beverly
Hillbillies) bought and ask to have protected by the State of
Missouri all this land here on Dewey Bald & overlooking the
Roark Valley. This State Park is inside the City of Branson, within
it's city limits. The State Conservation Department maintains it.”
Borrowed this good description from the Glade Cache original site!
Put it on Dewey Bald Cache description. Both caches can easily be
visited in an hour or so. Great hiking, year around, mostly.
Enjoy!!
** This site along with Dewey Bald Cache have approval and
permit from the MO Conservation Department. **

November 17 by *gln (1431 found) Greetings,I am once again checking all the disabled caches in the area to see if any progress has been made on repairs. I know that schedules can be hectic and time short but I do hope that you find the time to repair this cache.
If not repaired, this one is scheduled to be archived next month on my next check of disabled caches. If you plan on having this up and running by next check then you can skip over this notice. From the guidelines... (visit link) "... You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time, normally a few weeks , in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing."
Thanks for your understanding. When you have made all repairs, please remember to post an "Owner Maintenance" log on your cache page. This log restores the cache to its fully-functional state and allows your cache to be shown in the search results of Pocket Queries. Don't let your cache be filtered out unnecessarily in Pocket Queries by forgetting to re-set the attribute! HOW TO RESPOND IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS Respond by posting a new Note. Go to the cache page in question, and click on Log Your Visit. Select "Post Note" as the log type, and enter your message. Doing that, I'll know exactly what cache your message pertains to, which will speed the communication process. If you're reading this as email, don't reply to the sending address. It won't reach me. Follow the contact instructions above. Glenn

| November 2 by Dr. Bill (1 found) Visited the site today with intend to repair and put back in service. Unable to do that, so must archive the site. Sorry to do have to do that. Great site, great trails. Will try to replace at a later date. Great day for geocaching.Dr. Bill of Happy Hopper ;-)
[view this log] | November 1 by Cadfael and Fidelma (138 found) Found this one is serious need of repair. It looks like it lays in the path of a micro mini-waterfall area.
[view this log] | October 14 by Dr. Bill (1 found) Thank you for the note. I'm currently enroute to Austin Texas for a week and a half. I'll be back in Hollister the last week of October, and will attempt to get out and repair the cache. Thanks for the note. If I cannot, I'll let you know, and we can archive it - but, I'd like to get it repaired. We do have a lot of visitors to it and to Dewey Bald. It is a great hike!Dr. Bill of Happy Hopper ;-)
[view this log] | October 14 by *gln (1431 found) POSSIBLY NEEDS REPAIR DISABLING CACHE: Greetings,
I hate to pop in here like this but from reading the last couple logs on this cache, it appears that this cache may be in need of repair or at least should be checked. Since there may still be a container in the area, I can not archive it. When you get a chance, please stop by and do a little fixing up. If you choose to remove this cache you can archive it then. Hope things get fixed up soon. I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to Geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the near future. If everything turns out to be fine you can enable this at any time. If I do not hear from you about fixing up this cache, I will assume that it is abandoned and archive this cache sometime in the future. We need to work to maintain the good relationships we have with the parks in the area. We cannot afford to let our caches turn into litter.
